A SONG

A song whispers faintly to my soul,
I can barely hear its soft and gentle melody.
What song is this, what are its words?
I wonder what this song is saying to me.

Softly the sounds float through my mind,
They do not linger long enough to be written,
The words are whispered as the melody plays,
Yet, I cannot enwrap them in my arms, as I would a kitten.

This ethereal song, this heavenly, whispering song,
Beckons me with such kindness, such love.
Oh, sweet song of gentleness, sing more audibly to me,
Sing loudly to me, so I may share your melody of love.
