HE CRIED
His first statement from the Cross:
"Father, forgive them; for they know not
what they do." And they parted His
raiment, and cast lots. (Luke 23:34)
His second statement from the Cross:
Jesus said unto him, "Verily, I say unto thee,
Today shalt thou be with Me in Paradise. (Luke 15:23:43)
And with Him they crucified two thieves; one on his right
hand, and the other on his left. And the scripture was
fulfilled, which saith, "And He was numbered with the
transgressors." (Mark 15: 27, 28).
His third statement from the Cross:
When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the
disciple
standing by, whom He loved, He saith unto His mother,
"Woman, behold thy son!" Then saith He to the disciple,
"Behold thy mother!" And from that hour that disciple took
her into his own home. (John 19: 26,27).
His fourth statement ("CRY") from the Cross:
Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over
all the
land unto the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus
cried with a loud voice saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"
That is to say, "My God, My God, why has Thou forsaken Me?"
(Matthew 27: 45,46).
His fifth statement from the Cross:
After this, Jesus knowing that all things were
now accomplished,
that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, " I Thirst." (John
19:28).
His sixth statement from the Cross:
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar,
he said," It is finished."
And he bowed His head and gave up the ghost. (John 19:30).
His seventh statement ("CRY") from the Cross:
And when Jesus had CRIED WITH A LOUD VOICE, He
said, "Father,
into Thy hands I commend My Spirit", and having said thus, He gave up the
ghost. (Luke 23.46).
Oh, My Dear Savior, You died in my place,
You were mangled and disgraced,
As I should have been.
Oh, My Dear Savior, You went into Hell,
You were a Warrior Oh, so well,
I should have been in Your place.
Oh, My Dear Savior, You arose the Third Day,
Surprised all of the disciples with dismay,
All but the women who loved You.
Oh, My Dear Savior, You are now at God's right
hand
We are at Your total command,
All because of Your great, magnificent Work of Love.
Oh, Jesus, How we love You, How we praise You,
How we Thank You.
You are Risen, Risen, Risen, Hallelujah.
Amen and Amen
