Oh, Lord

Oh, Lord, my God, my heart cries for

Thee,

It is as your Word says, it cries for Thee

As the hart pants after the water brook.

I am far from Thee, Oh, Lord.

Your love is poured upon me as syrup

From the pitcher of sweets.

Yet, my heart seems far from Thee.

Oh, Lord, help me to be nearer to Thee?

I am so lonely for Your companionship,

Yet, I know I have moved away from

Thee,

For you are always near me, ready to help.

Oh, Lord, give the help that I need now!

Your joy is my strength, where is my joy?

Have I let the thief steal it from me?

Your joy is a necessary part of my life,

Oh, Lord, help me be filled with your joy!

I have wandered far from Thee, into other

fields,

Fields where I should not be roaming.

These fields are filled with pitfalls and

boulders.

Oh, Lord, help me out of this field, yes?

Your Presence is always desired by me,

But I get selfish, Lord, and move away

from Thee.

I sometimes want my own way, and not

yours.

Oh, Lord, change me and help me to always

Want You, your ways, and your mighty

Love.

Thank you, Jesus, my Savior, my King.

You are the Risen Son of the Living God,

You are mighty, You are able, You are

willing

To do whatever necessary to bring me Home.
