PEARLS

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
Slowly and gently touching my cheeks,
As they move toward my chin,
Eventually to fall, ever so softly, upon my breasts.

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
As I think about You, Your Word,
What You have done for us,
What You gave up for us, for a time.

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
When thinking of You hanging on the Cross,
That rugged tree; what pain, what terrible pain,
The Crown of Thorns pushed into Your brow.

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
Whenever I hear them pounding the nails
Into Your beautiful hands and handsome feet.
Oh, the pain, the horrible pain You suffered.

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
Whenever I know You became Sin.
You took the Sin of the whole world upon Yourself,
Oh, my Dear Savior, how I cry for You.

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
When I think deeply upon Your time in hell.
You went there in my place,
A Sinless Man went there for sinful man.

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
When I know You arose from Hell,
Stopped by that tomb, walked out,
As a resurrected Man, the Risen Son of the Living God.

Pearls of opulent hues, flow from my eyes,
Because of all You have done for me,
For all You have done for human-kind,
For all You have done for Your whole creation.

Hallelujah to You, Jesus, Praise unto Your Holy Name.
Thank You, our soon-coming King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
