RESURRECTION
Out stepped He on Resurrection Morn,
From the tomb so dark and drear.
He had been to Hell and back, and won
The keys to death and hell, forever, Holy, Dear.
He is Risen, He is Risen, He is Risen,
He said He would do this for you and me.
He is Risen, He is Risen, He is Risen,
Mary Magdalene, go tell the apostles to meet Him in Galilee.
They believed her not when she told them.
Peter and John ran to the tomb,
They found it empty, empty, empty,
All they found were grave clothes in the room.
Later that day, He appeared to them in the Upper Room,
He said," Be not afraid, it is I." Then they believed.
He taught them about what He had told them before,
Him rising from the dead, so we could rise as He has conceived.
Oh, Glory, hallelujah, Glory to our Risen Lord,
Glory, Hallelujah, He is Risen, He is Risen Forever-more.
