TODAY

Murder, mayhem, licentiousness and pride,
Rearing their ugly heads in schools on every side.
Where are the parents that should have taught them control?
Maybe they were not taught how to let Jesus save their souls.

Yet, it all does not lie with only the parent and the child,
It lies with the schools for letting them run wild.
The other part lies with the churches failing to pray
For the children, for the teachers, and doing it every day.

Each believer in Christ can pray at work, or at play,
They can pray about the children and teachers every day.
The church surely forgets to get on its knees without delay,
Instead of letting the devil take everything of God away.

They have let him take the Bible out of the schools for so long,
Now schools want Him out of the Pledge of Allegiance, and out of our songs.
They allow no prayer at all, or one may be expelled for doing such wrong.
Can you imagine, here in the United States, that this is going on?

Christians, gird yourselves with the Word of God, and hit your knees and pray,
This is the only way this Nation will get back to the better way.
The way of praying in schools, reading the Bible, letting the Golden Rule have sway,
And not allowing the devil to take everything of God away.
