'TWAS I

Who put Jesus on cruel Tree?
'Twas I.
Who caused such pain He could hardly breathe?
'Twas I.

Who watched as He cried His Father's Name?
'Twas I.
Who heard as He asked Father to hold no blame?
'Twas I.

Who cried as He cried out in such ungodly pain?
'Twas I.
Who asked forgiveness for trying to remove His reign?
'Twas I.

Who shed His blood in tear-drop shapes and streams?
'Twas I.
Who could not sleep because of such bad dreams?
'Twas I.

Who finally knew He's the Risen Son of The Living God,
'Twas I.
Who knelt before Him, gave Him my heart, in sobs,
'Twas I.

Who has grown to love Him more each day?
'Tis I.
Who is obeying His Word from day to day.
'Tis I.

Oh, Friend, please open your heart unto Him,
Allow Him to come and abide within.
He shall change you and make you free from sin,
As I.

Thank you, Jesus, The Risen Son of The Living God.
