WHAT IS CHRISTMAS?

What is Christmas all about, is it about buying lots of toys?
Is it all about children being good little girls and boys?
Shall we make a secular holiday and forget it and then,
Leave out all that mushy stuff about once upon a when?
Shall we not even mention, not even say the day?
Just keep it a deep, dark secret, never even say?
Never, but never quote the Bible, ever!
For to do so, may offend, no we should never,
So they will have to change the name.
What shall they call it? It can't remain the same.
Christmas! Xmas? But you have to change the mass,
Because that would be religious too----Alas!
Then we Christians would have to find a way,
To celebrate the Birth of Christ on another day!
It seems to me this has happened once before,
Back in the dark ages, back in the days of yore,
When Christians had to hide to pray,
And celebrate the birth of Christ of a Pagan holiday!
Now, if you celebrate Christmas, do it all the way!
It is a Christian, yes, I did say Christian! Holiday!
We have a right to one special time to honor Our King,
So sing those Carols, Christian friends, and let those Church bells ring.
Always remember our Christ was born,
One cold and wintry morn,
And didn't come from a lowly birth for no reason,
God loves the poor, and so He gave us a season.
So pick any day, whatever you will, any at all will do,
As long as your heart to the Lord will be true,
And God will set aside that special day
To be, your very own Christmas Day.

I happen to agree with my lovely friend totally,
so I put this truthful thought here for your perusal.
