WHY AM I HERE?
Why am I here, my Father God, What would you have me to do? I have told everyone about Jesus, I have told everyone about You.
Yet, here I sit, forever alone, With no one to give my love to. Why am I here, my Father God, What would you have me to do?
Those all around me seem happy, They are laughingly comical, it's true. Why am I here, my Father God, What would you have me to do?
Trouble keeps nipping at my heels, I am wondering if it'll overcome me, too! Why am I here, my Father God, What would you have me do?
Life seems so lonely, so lonely to me, I work and work all the day through. Why am I here, my Father God, What would you have me to do?
Please, tell me Your ways here on earth, Remove from me all of this "blue". Why am I here, my Father God, What would you have me to do?
Your Word says we are here for one purpose, To bring great Glory to You. Is that what you want from me, Father God, Is that what you want me to do?
Teach me to be as You want me, Teach me the whole day through. Then I shall know what You want of me, And why I am here. It's for YOU!
